silver moon's sparkling

Saturday was busk in the sun, in aid of the victims of cyclone nargis in myanmar. And it was my first public performance! And my first CIP hours in JC haha. So I have a few people to thank.

First of all thank you Melodie for busking together with me. And Cherissa for joining us, which though quite late, didn't stop your keyboard and vocals from really helping, especially for The Scientist. Thank you Isabelle for lending me your guitar, it has a really nice sound. And everyone else for your support.

In the end the screwups was not really from nervousness, but more from tiredness as each shift went by, or rushing so not in sync. (It really is busk in the SUN. I must have sweated bucketloads of water that day. And consumed as much.) But I guess it was not bad. But yay it was fun and it was for a good cause.

On Sunday night I watched the charity show on channel 8 for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake, and realised how in such disasters, sometimes there is beauty, such as shown through a mother's love. There was this baby that survived because the mother wrapped herself around the baby, and the mother was holding a phone, with an sms which said, "baby, if you survive, remember i love you". I just thought of how in our darkest moments, there is the chance for love to shine its brightest.

Monday, which was yesterday was Chinese 'A' Levels. Just quite glad the exam is over. Hope that I'll be able to clear it this time.

Yesterday I also bought a new CD! Never Going Back to OK, by The Afters. I really like the song Ocean Wide. I think The Afters are a really good band and more people should get to know them. Haha.

And now it's time to catch up with studies this June hols.
